ATLANTA (AP) _ Gray Television Inc. (GTN) on Monday reported first-quarter net income of $39 million.

On a per-share basis, the Atlanta-based company said it had net income of 27 cents.

The broadcast television company posted revenue of $544 million in the period.

Gray Television shares have increased 14% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 83% in the last 12 months.
