ST LOUIS (AP) _ Huttig Building Products Inc. (HBP) on Monday reported first-quarter net income of $8.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The St. Louis-based company said it had net income of 30 cents per share.

The construction materials company posted revenue of $214.7 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company’s shares hit $4.19. A year ago, they were trading at $1.16.
