‘Islamic unity serves as source of power for Muslims’

Malik Motasim Khan, the Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, says that the unity of the Islamic Ummah is one of the fundamental principles in the thought of Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Revolution, and was strongly emphasized by Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Khan made the remarks during the opening ceremony of the 40th International Conference on Islamic Unity being held in Tehran.
He argued that unity is not merely a desirable quality, but a primary source of power, asserting that Muslims will remain weak as long as they are plagued by division.
The current birth anniversary of the Prophet coincides with a pivotal era in which a major follower of the Prophet has been martyred and new global forces are emerging.
What is required is for nations seeking freedom and independence to align themselves with the path of unity, especially in light of the extensive transformations currently shaping various global spheres.
Referring to the guidance provided by the leadership, Khan emphasized that Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei has taught the Ummah to prioritize the concept of the Islamic Ummah and to actively pursue cohesion to withstand external pressures.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Khan asserted that achieving true unity is the only viable way for Muslims to transition from a state of weakness to a position of strength and influence in the contemporary world.
The 40th Islamic Unity Conference is underway in Tehran from August 27 to 30, with sideline meetings also being held in the holy cities of Qom and Mashhad, as well as Sunni-populated cities in West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Razavi Khorasan and Golestan provinces.
