The Philadelphia-based company said it had a loss of 18 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 2 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 5 cents per share.
The generic drug company posted revenue of $112.4 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $115.1 million.
Lannett expects full-year revenue in the range of $480 million to $500 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company’s shares hit $4.52. A year ago, they were trading at $9.55.
