DUBLIN (AP) _ Horizon Therapeutics Public Limited Company (HZNP) on Wednesday reported a loss of $123.4 million in its first quarter.
The Dublin-based company said it had a loss of 55 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 3 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 7 cents per share.
The drugmaker posted revenue of $342.4 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $326.5 million.
Horizon Therapeutics expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.75 billion to $2.85 billion.
Horizon Therapeutics shares have climbed 24% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
