ATLANTA (AP) _ WestRock Co. (WRK) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $112.5 million.
The Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 42 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and restructuring costs, came to 54 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 62 cents per share.
The paper and packaging company posted revenue of $4.44 billion in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.5 billion.
WestRock shares have increased 33% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 91% in the last 12 months.
