CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) _ Heritage Insurance Holdings Inc. (HRTG) on Wednesday reported a first-quarter loss of $5.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Clearwater, Florida-based company said it had a loss of 19 cents.
The property and casualty insurance holding company posted revenue of $147.2 million in the period.
Heritage Insurance shares have decreased 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $8.87, a decline of 21% in the last 12 months.
