HOUSTON (AP) _ SilverBow Resources Inc. (SBOW) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $28.4 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had net income of $2.31.

The energy company posted revenue of $86.7 million in the period.

SilverBow shares have risen 94% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $10.32, a climb of 93% in the last 12 months.
