CONCORD, Calif. (AP) _ Cerus Corp. (CERS) on Tuesday reported a loss of $17.5 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Concord, California-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents.
The biomedical products company posted revenue of $23.4 million in the period.
Cerus shares have declined 19% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $5.60, an increase of nearly 8% in the last 12 months.
