Khorramshahr Port Successfully Executes First Multimodal LPG Export to Afghanistan and Pakistan

Ali Asgari, Director General of the Khorramshahr Port and Maritime, announced the successful completion of the port's first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) export operation via multimodal transport to Afghanistan and Pakistan. He hailed the achievement as a significant step in expanding export routes and strengthening the port's position within the national logistics network.

Asgari stated that the operation has further highlighted Khorramshahr Port's capabilities in supporting the supply chain and developing regional trade. It has also paved the way for more effective utilization of multimodal transport capacities.

"The use of a multimodal transport model not only increases productivity and facilitates cargo movement but also helps develop export markets and strengthen trade ties with neighboring countries," Asgari explained.

The Director General emphasized the port's strategic role in the country's trade corridors, noting that the development of multimodal transport and increasing the share of rail cargo movement are key objectives of national development plans. Khorramshahr Port has taken effective steps in this direction.

Asgari reaffirmed that Khorramshahr Port, leveraging its existing capacities and expanding cooperation with economic actors, aims to increase its share of the regional export and transi market. He expressed confidence that this success will serve as a foundation for implementing similar projects in the future.
