Hamidreza Mohammad Hosseini Takhti, Director of Ports and Maritime Administration for Shahid Bahonar and Eastern Hormozgan, officially announced the start of transit procedures at Jask Port and reported the successful arrival of the first batch of vehicles from Oman.
He added that following extensive consultations and obtaining a three-month temporary permit from the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the unloading of the first phase of these vehicles has commenced.
Providing precise details on the arrival process, Mohammad Hosseini Takhti stated that in the first phase, two landing craft carrying imported vehicles entered the port via Jask, with each vessel carrying eight cars.
The official, while highlighting the provision of appropriate port services in Jask despite limitations and damages caused by the war, confirmed that subsequent shipments are expected to arrive at Jask Port in the very near future.
Continuing his remarks, the Director of Ports and Maritime Administration for Shahid Bahonar and Eastern Hormozgan pointed out the significance of this event, stressing that the special status of Makran region ports has become more evident than ever before in the current era.
