SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) _ CareDx Inc. (CDNA) on Wednesday reported a loss of $687,000 in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the South San Francisco, California-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 14 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 1 cent per share.
The molecular diagnostics company posted revenue of $67.4 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $60.8 million.
CareDx expects full-year revenue in the range of $270 million to $280 million.
CareDx shares have increased 1% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $73.18, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
