SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) _ Allogene Therapeutics Inc. (ALLO) on Wednesday reported a loss of $33 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the South San Francisco, California-based company said it had a loss of 25 cents.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 48 cents per share.
The immuno-oncology company posted revenue of $38.3 million in the period.
Allogene Therapeutics shares have increased 14% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $28.71, a decrease of 7% in the last 12 months.
