PURCHASE, N.Y. (AP) _ Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW) on Wednesday reported first-quarter profit of $89.9 million.

The Purchase, New York-based company said it had net income of $3.05 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $2.45 per share.

The airplane leasing company and service provider posted revenue of $861.3 million in the period.

Atlas Air shares have climbed 28% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
