MILWAUKEE (AP) _ Marcus Corp. (MCS) on Wednesday reported a loss of $28.1 million in its first quarter.

The Milwaukee-based company said it had a loss of 93 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 96 cents per share.

The operator of movie theaters, hotels and resorts posted revenue of $50.8 million in the period.

Marcus shares have climbed 44% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 44% in the last 12 months.
