The Newburyport, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of 55 cents per share.

The packaging company and component manufacturer posted revenue of $48.6 million in the period.

UFP shares have climbed 7.5% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 18% in the last 12 months.
