WESTBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) _ Kopin Corp. (KOPN) on Tuesday reported a loss of $4.1 million in its first quarter.

The Westborough, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 2 cents per share.

The maker of wearable technologies posted revenue of $11.7 million in the period.

Kopin shares have more than tripled since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased fifteenfold in the last 12 months.
