TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ Kforce Inc. (KFRC) on Monday reported first-quarter earnings of $13.3 million.

The Tampa, Florida-based company said it had profit of 62 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 63 cents per share.

The staffing company posted revenue of $363.2 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $361.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in July, Kforce expects its per-share earnings to range from 87 cents to 95 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $387 million to $397 million for the fiscal second quarter.

Kforce shares have climbed 36% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $57.13, a rise of 89% in the last 12 months.
