REHOVOT, Israel (AP) _ Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd. (NVMI) on Thursday reported first-quarter earnings of $17.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Rehovot, Israel-based company said it had profit of 60 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 70 cents per share.
The maker of monitoring systems used in chip manufacturing posted revenue of $84.1 million in the period.
For the current quarter ending in July, Nova Measuring Instruments expects its per-share earnings to range from 64 cents to 77 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $84 million to $92 million for the fiscal second quarter.
Nova Measuring Instruments shares have risen 27% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
