EWING, N.J. (AP) _ Antares Pharma Inc. (ATRS) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $3.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Ewing, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 2 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 2 cents per share.

The drugmaker posted revenue of $42.1 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $40.9 million.

Antares Pharma expects full-year revenue in the range of $175 million to $200 million.

The company’s shares closed at $3.79. A year ago, they were trading at $2.74.
